Welcome to Greater Cleveland REIA University

Build your real estate investing career and Become and Ohio Professional Housing Provider (O.P.H.P)

The OPHP designation is a statewide, education-based certification program designed to recognize the high level of knowledge and professionalism achieved by the designation holder. It is sponsored and overseen by the Ohio Real Estate Investor’s Association (OREIA). 

Earning the designation will make the holder a valuable community resource and greatly increase his or her ability to reach goals in real estate investment.


The course of study consists of 42 hours of core courses and 18 hours of elective topics for a total of 60 hours of formal education. The core topics:

Appraisal, Contract Law, Ethics, Fair Housing Law, Finance, Inspections, Insurance, Land-Tenant Law, Management, Marketing, Negotiation, Purchasing, Rehab, Regulations, Tax Law 

The remaining 18 hours may include further education in any or all of the above topics as selected by the OPHP candidate.

By addressing the core courses you will also learn the techniques and skills necessary to succeed in the real estate business including:

Mike Dennis is the featured instructor for the OPHP course. Dennis is widely regarded as one of the industry’s premier instructors. He became Ohio’s youngest real estate professor ever at the age of 23 and has taught collegiate real estate courses at Bowling Green State University, Lorain County Community College and Cuyahoga Community College.

Dennis also has worked as a real estate television and radio talk show host and as a trainer for several Ohio real estate clubs. 

He is the founder and CEO of the popular and growing internet platform, the on line real estate investor friendly market place for home improvement and construction services. 

Dennis is a 30 year real estate investor, trainer and consultant. He earned his MBA from the University of Toledo.

Mike encourages your questions and interaction so upon completion you will have the background and information you need to be a successful real estate investor.
